Lamen

The best gift my parents ever gave me, was a second hand copy of Frommers
"Paris Free and Dirt Cheap" guide. Without it, we probably would have ended up
on the streets long ago. Amongst its many pages we have found one of our
favourite places to eat. Being fans of Japanese, we visited Higuma early on when
we arrived and have been back many times. They serve HUGE bowls of "Lamen"
which we assumed to be the french equivalent of "Ramen" (not sure who's
translation went wrong there...) but this stuff is just as good as the real stuff we
came to love in Japan, and for as little as 6.50euro you get a MONSTER bowl of
hot-steaming-noodley ramen! (lamen?)

Get there early to avoid waiting in the cold with the rest of Paris.
