Sorry for the poor quality of photograph, but as I've been out and about this
week whilst my resident photographer has been working, I have learnt a few
things.
1. Christmas trees in Europe are never fake. They are always real, and huge at
that. However, they don't seem to smell the same or nearly as good as the real
ones at home do...Maybe I am just subconsciously homesick at Christmas time?
2. Aussies who aren't accustomed to walking to uni in the snow should learn to
dress appropriately, otherwise one day frolicking will have you bedridden with the
flu.
Paris has record snowfalls on Wednesday which pretty much plunged the
whole city in chaos, with trains and buses canceled, intense traffic and office
workers stuck in buildings unable to get home.
I enjoyed the snow for a while, did some Christmas shopping in an awesome littleboutique near Canal st Martin, and then cuddled a hot chocolate at La
Cafetotheque with some lovely company.
It looks like Paris is on track for a White Christmas!
enjoyed your observations - hope your flu is better soon!
