I learned at the beginning of this month that Australia is the only place that
celebrates the end/beginning of seasons based on the calendar month.
Everywhere else, including France, does seasons by the moon. That means that
whilst Australia has technically moved on from Summer, it is still Winter in
Europe. Hardly seems fair to me.. Whilst spring is still a week or so away, here
are some little hints that it is just around the corner.
(the sun is up until 7pm)
(the tree outside our window has little green bits on it)
(at dusk there are pretty bird noises)
(today i left the house without a scarf)
(the icecream shop on our street has opened again)
(people are smiling at each other a little more)
(tomorrow is forecast to be 18 degrees)
(the cherry blossoms are starting to flower)
