We accidentally stumbled upon a demonstration last weekend at Republique. It
looked more like a carnival to me... I wanted to join in, but apparently the news
back home has been saying that Paris is burning down and being overtaken by
crazy people going on strike, so I thought it best not to get involved.
Looks like fun though, right? I think I will get another chance to join in. My class
was interrupted this week by a group of students encouraging us to skip class
and come to a demonstration in order to shut the university down. Two years
ago, the Sorbonne didn't open for all of semester 2 because of the strikes... I am
hoping the strikes work their magic for me too!
