Walking home today I realised that I am probably happier right now than I ever have been. I am more
relaxed, more laid back, more easy going than ever before. This is probably due to a number of factors...

This weekend when the sun came out and finally broke my spell of stockings and gumboots, I realised
how truly depressing this type of weather can be. Bounding out of bed by 9 am even though I have no
where to be ? Feeling motivated to wear a colour other than black ? Actually feeling like going
somewhere, outdoors, by myself ? Who is this new me ! I had the most wonderful day just strolling
around the islands and bridges of The Seine, exploring the rare bird market behind Notre Dame, then
sitting in the park behind it in the sun to journal my heart out by the river. Sure enough the wind and rain
returned today, but I have a new spring in my step, that is for sure. Oh spring...you can’t come soon
enough.
